Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FRQuick, an AP essay grading website (the "Service"). By using the Service, creating an account, or clicking to agree during sign-up, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use FRQuick.

Who can use FRQuick

FRQuick is built for students preparing for AP exams and for their teachers. It is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are 13 to 17, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or guardian. By signing up, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

Accounts

You may use FRQuick without an account for a limited free grade. After that, you need an account to continue grading essays. Accounts can be created with email and password or by signing in with Google, as we offer on the site.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Do not share your password or let others use your account. Email us at team@frquick.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You can update profile and notification settings in your dashboard and delete your account at any time from account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your login and associated data, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you have a classroom subscription, deleting your account also cancels it immediately, as described under "Classroom subscriptions".

The Service

FRQuick uses automated tools to analyze AP-style essays against rubrics and return scores and feedback. Grading single essays is free. The teacher classroom, which grades a whole class set at once, is a paid subscription described under "Classroom subscriptions" below. We show you the price before any charge applies.

Feedback is meant to help you practice and revise. It is not an official AP® exam score from College Board, a guarantee of exam performance, or a substitute for your teacher's judgment. The same applies to scores and feedback in the teacher classroom: they are estimates to support a teacher's grading, not official scores. We do not promise that feedback will be error-free or complete.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, including rubrics, subjects, rate limits, or features, with or without notice.

Classroom subscriptions

Automatic renewal. A classroom subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You pay the price and billing frequency shown at checkout, which is monthly (or yearly, if we offer it and you choose it). At the end of each billing period, we charge the card you gave at checkout again for the next period. These renewal charges repeat until you cancel. Before you pay, checkout shows the price, how often it renews, and how to cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Founding teacher pilot. While pilot spots are open, you can choose what you pay, from $5 to $20a month. You can change that price in Settings, then Billing. A new price starts at your next billing date, and nothing is charged or refunded for the period you already paid for. We won't change your founding price unless you do.

How to cancel. You can cancel online at any time. In your dashboard, go to Settings, then Billing (or open your Teachers page), click Manage billing, and cancel there. You can also email us at team@frquick.com and we will cancel it for you. When you cancel, you keep classroom access until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again.

After your subscription ends.Your classes, assignments, and results stay in your account. You can still open them, export results, and delete them, but you can't grade new essays or add classes or assignments. Essays that were still waiting to grade are held, not deleted, and grade when you subscribe again. If you want your classroom data removed, delete it yourself or email us.

Deleting your account.Deleting your account cancels your classroom subscription immediately and ends classroom access. You won't be charged again, and the current billing period isn't refunded.

Taxes.Prices don't currently include sales tax, and we don't charge it. If we start collecting sales or other taxes, we will show them at checkout before you pay, and tell you before it applies to your subscription.

Failed payments.If a renewal payment fails, you keep classroom access while the payment is retried, and Settings, then Billing, will ask you to update your card. If the payment still doesn't go through, we may end the subscription and classroom access.

Price and term changes. We may change our public prices. We will email you 30 days before a price change takes effect for your subscription, with instructions for canceling, and you can cancel before the new price applies. If we make any other material change to the subscription terms, we will also email you before it applies to you and tell you how to cancel. Founding pilot prices stay the same while your subscription stays active.

Refunds.Payments are non-refundable, except for billing errors, where required by law, or in special circumstances we agree to case by case. If we discontinue the classroom, we refund the unused part of your current paid period (see "Termination"). If a charge looks wrong or something unusual happened, email team@frquick.comand we'll review it promptly.

Disputes. If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can fix it. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, we may cancel the subscription right away, which ends classroom access.

Teacher responsibilities

If you upload student work to the classroom, you agree that:

You have permission to upload it, for example from your school, the student, or the student's parent or guardian.
You will follow your school's and district's policies and the laws that apply to student records, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) where it applies.
You will not upload personal information the grading doesn't need, such as student ID numbers, contact details, or health information. FRQuick removes names by default, but it can miss one, so check each essay before you upload.
You will not upload work by students under 13.

FRQuick gives feedback to support your judgment, not to replace it. You are responsible for the grades you give students. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle student work, and schools that need a data privacy agreement can contact us at team@frquick.com.

AP®, Advanced Placement®, and College Board® are trademarks registered by the College Board, which was not involved in the production of, and does not endorse, this website or service.

References to AP-style rubrics and publicly available scoring criteria are for educational practice only. FRQuick does not claim to provide official AP exam scoring, official College Board feedback, or results that would be used on an actual AP exam. This includes scores and feedback given to teachers in the classroom.

Links to third-party websites (including College Board resources on AP Central) are provided for convenience. Those sites are governed by their own terms and policies.

Your content

When you submit an essay, prompt, passage, or related text ("Your Content"), you keep ownership of Your Content. You give FRQuick a limited license to host, process, store, and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service, for example to grade your essay, show results, and keep your history. This includes sending it to our AI provider for grading, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone else's rights. Do not submit content you do not have permission to use (for example, copyrighted passages you are not allowed to upload).

Where sharing settings are available, you choose whether a result is public or private. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle essay data and cookies.

Copyright complaints

We respect copyright. If you believe something on FRQuick, such as an essay in our library, infringes your copyright, email team@frquick.com with:

your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address;
the copyrighted work you believe was infringed;
the web address on FRQuick where the material appears;
a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner; and
your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove or disable the material and tell the person who posted it. If you believe material was removed by mistake, you can send us a counter-notice at the same address. We may end the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive.
Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or the one-free-grade rule for anonymous users (for example by rotating identities to scrape unlimited free grades).
Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service without our written permission.
Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service or its outputs as a competing product.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users' use of it.
Upload malware or try to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or are harming the Service or other users.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those places, our disclaimers apply only to the extent allowed by local law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FRQuick and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) US $100. If you use only the free parts of the Service, (a) is zero and (b) applies.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law does not allow it, for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Indemnity

If your use of the Service or Your Content causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to defend and hold us harmless from that claim (including reasonable legal fees) to the extent the claim arises from your breach of these Terms or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Termination

You may stop using FRQuick at any time. You may delete your account in dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we must do so for legal or security reasons, or if we discontinue the Service.

If we end a paid classroom subscription for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, such as discontinuing the classroom, we will refund the unused part of your current paid period.

Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) continue after termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are material, we may also notify you by email or in the product. Changes take effect on that date, except that changes to classroom subscription prices or terms follow the email notice described under "Classroom subscriptions". Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you don't agree to a change, stop using FRQuick and cancel any subscription.

Governing law and disputes

If you have a problem with FRQuick, please email team@frquick.com first. Most concerns can be solved quickly that way.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any lawsuit about these Terms or the Service must be brought in the courts located in Washington, District of Columbia: the Superior Court of the District of Columbia or the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. You and FRQuick agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court, in the District of Columbia or where you live, if the claim qualifies.

If you use FRQuick as a consumer, the laws of the place where you live may give you rights that a contract can't take away, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights, and this section applies only to the extent the law allows.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part is limited or removed only as much as needed, and the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and FRQuick about use of the Service, and they replace any earlier agreements about it.

You may not transfer your rights or duties under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service, and we will tell you if that happens. We may send notices to the email address on your account, and you can send notices to team@frquick.com.
