Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FRQuick, a free AP essay grading website (the "Service"). By using the Service, creating an account, or clicking to agree during sign-up, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use FRQuick.
Who can use FRQuick
FRQuick is built for students preparing for AP exams. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should use the Service only with permission from a parent or guardian. By signing up, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
Accounts
You may use FRQuick without an account for a limited free grade. After that, you need an account to continue grading essays. Accounts can be created with email and password or by signing in with Google, as we offer on the site.
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Do not share your password or let others use your account. Notify us at team@frquick.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You can update profile and notification settings in your dashboard and delete your account at any time from account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your login and associated data as described during deletion.
The Service
FRQuick uses automated tools to analyze AP-style essays against rubrics and return scores and feedback. The Service is free at this time. We may add paid features in the future; if we do, we will update these Terms and tell you before any charge applies.
Feedback is meant to help you practice and revise. It is not an official AP® exam score from College Board, a guarantee of exam performance, or a substitute for your teacher's judgment. We do not promise that feedback will be error-free or complete.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, including rubrics, subjects, rate limits, or features, with or without notice.
Trademarks & third-party content
FRQuick is not created by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with the College Board or the Advanced Placement® Program.
AP®, Advanced Placement®, and College Board® are trademarks registered by the College Board, which was not involved in the production of, and does not endorse, this website or service.
References to AP-style rubrics and publicly available scoring criteria are for educational practice only. FRQuick does not claim to provide official AP exam scoring, official College Board feedback, or results that would be used on an actual AP exam.
Links to third-party websites (including College Board resources on AP Central) are provided for convenience. Those sites are governed by their own terms and policies.
Your content
When you submit an essay, prompt, passage, or related text ("Your Content"), you keep ownership of Your Content. You give FRQuick a limited license to host, process, store, and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service — for example, to grade your essay, show results, and keep your history.
You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone else's rights. Do not submit content you do not have permission to use (for example, copyrighted passages you are not allowed to upload).
Where sharing settings are available, you choose whether a result is public or private. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle essay data and cookies.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or the one-free-grade rule for anonymous users (for example by rotating identities to scrape unlimited free grades).
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service or its outputs as a competing product.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users' use of it.
- Upload malware or try to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or are harming the Service or other users.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those places, our disclaimers apply only to the extent allowed by local law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FRQuick and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) US $100. Because the Service is currently free, (a) is often zero and (b) applies.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where law does not allow it — for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Indemnity
If your use of the Service or Your Content causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to defend and hold us harmless from that claim (including reasonable legal fees) to the extent the claim arises from your breach of these Terms or your violation of law or third-party rights.
Termination
You may stop using FRQuick at any time. You may delete your account in dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we must do so for legal or security reasons, or if we discontinue the Service.
Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) continue after termination.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top. If changes are material, we may also notify you by email or in the product. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and FRQuick about use of the Service, aside from our Privacy Policy.
